USDF Bronze & Silver Medalist having competed through Intermediare I
CCI2* Eventer
Extensive experience starting young horses and re-starting off the track thoroughbreds
Huxley Greer was raised in a lifelong equestrian family and began riding almost as soon as she could walk. From early days spent riding bareback through hay fields to discovering her passion for eventing at a young age, horses have always been at the center of her life.
Her competitive career began early, competing in her first horse trials at age 11. A formative partnership with Octavian—a Clydesdale/Thoroughbred cross purchased as a young, unconventional prospect—shaped her development as a rider and horsewoman. Together, they progressed to the CCI* level and earned team gold at the 2009 NAJYRC Championships for Area II.
Driven to build correct, sustainable horses, Huxley later focused on strengthening her flatwork foundation, earning her USDF Bronze Medal in 2014 and Silver Medal in 2021 at the FEI levels with her Thoroughbred gelding, Vesuvian. Her program emphasizes thoughtful, systematic development and creating confident, rideable horses across disciplines.
Huxley’s long-term goal is to compete at the highest level of the sport while continuing to enjoy the process and grow as a horseman. She currently specializes in starting young horses, retraining off-the-track Thoroughbreds, and helping riders develop clarity, connection, and confidence as they work toward their individual goals.
